RE: Expungement for Alex Jones

Dear Judge Smith:

I am Alex Jones's father and am writing in support of Alex's petition to have his criminal record expunged in case number 12345678.

I currently work in the accounting department at the California State Department of **** in downtown Sacramento. I am 52 years old.

Alex was a senior at UC Davis when he got his DUI. In September of that year he went to a party during the opening week of school, drank heavily, and then tried to drive back to his apartment. He crashed his car into a stop sign in one of Davis's residential neighborhoods. Fortunately, there were no pedestrians or other cars at the intersection at the time, so no one got hurt. But Alex was arrest by the police who came to the scene to investigate.

As does sometimes happen, something good came out of that horrible evening. As Alex went through the court process, he began to reflect on what he was doing with his life. It took some time, but Alex did realize that he and alcohol were not a good combination. A month before he graduated, he announced that he would give up alcohol and he has been true to his word in the six years since then. He has found success at his work at a local software company and has plans for more education. I'm also happy to say that he has found a good group of friends who enjoy the outdoors and even volunteer at a soup kitchen downtown periodically.

Alex is the sort of person the expungement process was designed for. He definitely made a mistake when he was younger. But he has owned up to his errors and put himself on the right path. I'm proud to call him my son. I hope that you see the good person he has become and grant the expungement of this DUI from his criminal record.

Client Reviews
Nancy King was patient, persistent, and polite. She followed up and kept me informed, took a lot of the stress off of me. She was very instrumental in eventually getting the case against me dismissed. It was money well spent. Linda
My son's case involved felony theft and drug charges. We were thrilled when Nancy was able to obtain a dismissal on all charges. My son's now back on track with his career. Nancy is the kind of attorney who fights hard for her clients and actually cares about them. I recommend her highly. Shawn M.
Nancy King represented me on a DUI. I was involved in an accident and had a blood alcohol level of .13/.14. Nancy King kept pushing in the negotiation process. She was able to get me a wet reckless. Nancy King is someone you can trust. She knows what she's doing and works hard for her clients. I recommend her highly. D.V.
I was wrongfully targeted by the police for a felony offense. Nancy took care of everything for me and got the police to realize that they had made a mistake. Everything was handled promptly and professionally and I was able to protect my reputation. D.B.
